Release notes for MacDelta.

2.0.3 · Build 49

A free bug-fix update for paid and seven-day trial editions.

Recorded battery, sleep/wake, device, network, Bluetooth, thermal, and Low Power Mode events appear in the combined Timeline.
Recent Files, Downloads, and Clipboard sidebar counts follow the same search rules as their listings, including download source URLs.
File records without a recorded path are counted consistently with their visible rows.

Existing history and settings are preserved. Recent Files, Downloads, and Clipboard remain separate from Timeline and Export. Trial updates preserve the existing trial period.

Folder details remain collapsible, with Stop Monitoring always visible beside each monitored folder.
Open Monitored Folders and stop monitoring a folder while a capture is running. Removal applies to future captures and preserves existing history.
Folder disclosure controls use their standard appearance. A capture already running may finish with its previous selection; pausing does not cancel that scan.

A free update for existing customers, available in both the paid and seven-day trial editions.

Adjust listing text from 100% to 200% using Command-plus, Command-minus and Command-zero to reset, or in Settings.
Choose a 24-hour, three-day, seven-day, 30-day or custom time window, or all retained history.
Text size and time-window choices are saved. Time filters apply consistently to recorded listings and counts without changing retention or capture frequency.

A free upgrade for every existing v1 customer.

A compact three-panel workspace with grouped navigation, event counts, search and contextual inspectors.
Recent Files and Downloads show recorded metadata in dedicated searchable views.
Opt-in Clipboard History supports search, pins, copy again and deletion.
Application launch and close events join installation, update and removal history. Foreground/background changes are omitted.
Menu bar access, global history search, pause/resume recording, and detailed two-column inspectors.
Folder Sizes lives in the right inspector. Timeline filters, snapshots, state comparisons and exports remain available.
Existing history, saved snapshots and preferences are preserved, with a pre-v2 history backup.

MacDelta 1.1.0 remains available from My Downloads for customers who prefer the previous interface. V2-only history stays separate and is not visible in v1.

More reliable automatic capture scheduling, with checks after wake and app activation and retries after failed captures.
In-app updates without a purchase code, with daily automatic checks and optional automatic installation.
Recorded file-size changes in expandable sections when individual measurements are available.
Saved snapshots appear newest first with dates and times.

MacDelta must remain running to record changes. Enable Open at Login in Settings to start it when you sign in.

Disk-space events clearly state the increase or decrease in free space, followed by the space remaining.
Existing saved disk-space events use the same clearer wording without changing recorded measurements.

View All closes the menu bar window before opening the app.
A clearer Quit MacDelta button matches the app’s secondary actions.

Getting updates

Download the latest version from My Downloads after purchase. Quit MacDelta, replace it in Applications and reopen it. Existing history and preferences are preserved. From version 1.1.0, future updates are available through MacDelta → Check for Updates, without a purchase code. Automatic checks and installation can be managed in Settings.

Requires macOS 14 or later. Intel compatibility has not been verified on physical Intel Macs and may have issues. Contact support@macdelta.app for help.
